The Black Mental Health Collection is a collection that I offer twice a year (Black History Month and Minority Mental Health Month). This collection is to bring awareness to Black mental health. The Black community tends to have the highest rate of mental health issues but less likely to seek help. My goal is to normalize Black mental health and bridge the gap in mental health.
Most Black families were not properly educated on mental health treatment and the importance of seeking help from a licensed mental health professional. They were only taught to pray about it, go to church, or to be strong. Yes, church and prayer actually works; at times (most times), we need a little more.
When you shop this collection, you are helping me bridge the gap to Black mental health. You are helping normalize mental health. You never know how many lives you are saving by someone seeing you wearing this shirt and realize that it is okay to seek help.
